The Mate iPhone-style app is the best in the category, and the system is VPP-ready with most major Australian aggregators.
Strengths: stackable architecture (5-48 kWh), AI-driven energy management, integrated bi-directional EV charging (V2H/V2G ready), 10-year product warranty + cycle warranty. Limitations: premium pricing (typically 15-30% more than equivalent GoodWe), shorter Australian track record (though hardware is well-engineered).
How we choose
GoodWe is our recommendation for cost-conscious residential installs where the homeowner wants a proven, well-supported system and isn't planning aggressive future expansion. Sigenergy is our recommendation for homes with EVs (or planning one), customers who want best-in-class backup, larger battery stacks (20-48 kWh), or buyers who treat the system as a long-term energy platform rather than a bill-reduction appliance.
